“Perfect for one night. There were no problems with parking at night, and in the morning there was even free coffee waiting. A really great option for a quick overnight stay!”
“Hidden gem! We had a great stay in Forsthaus, the rooms were clean and warm. Nice view from the balcony with the windows facing the mountains, there was no noice from the main street. Some reviews say that the rooms/furniture is outdated, but we actually liked the charm of it and everything was clean/in good maintenance/nicely complementing each other. It is approx 15/20 minutes to GaPa for skiing. We loved the unlimited coffee/tea as well and an opportunity to sit down with it in the spacious common dining room. There is no breakfast being served, but a bakery is just across the street and Rewe or Aldi 5 minutes by car. Overall a great value for money!”
“Recently stayed here with a total of 22 people and they were able to accommodate us. The rooms were large, clean, and safe! But most of all, the owners was very nice and welcoming. Breakfast was delicious and location was perfect about 10-15min. to the ski areas/main attractions and shopping spots! There are bars and restaurants in walking distance as well. After dinner you can enjoy the whirlpool and sauna. The real bonus was the view of the alps and being able to accommodate a family of 5, It is rare to find any places at all to accommodate a family of 5 and dogs are also allowed! The hotel had the apartment style rooms, complete with kitchen and microwave! Overall, forsthaus-Oberau exceeded our expectations and the price I paid was worth it... and VAT forms are accepted!”
“Clean, tidy rooms. Staff & owners are welcoming. Reasonable continental breakfast which is now served to you from buffet because of CV19 regulations in Bavaria. All staff are masked when dealing with customers, & guests are expected to comply with Gov regs & wear masks in public areas. Good value for money.”
“The Appartement was clean with a very amazing view, well equipped kitchen. The location itself was great and very near from most of the attractions.checkin and checkout process was easy and flexible in timing.”
“The hotel is three stories high with no elevator, which seems a bit odd to me. We had to carry our baggage up to the second floor through the stairs. Other than that, the place is really nice. The rooms are spacious and a bit dated, the staff is very friendly and helpful. There is a kids corner inside the lounge with some games to help them pass the time. The hotel is situated on a main road, but there is no noise in the rooms. It is a small town, but you can find everything you need nearby. If you don't know where to find something, ask at the reception and you will receive a full list of alternatives. The breakfast is nice and the hostess tries her best to please your culinary desires.”
“Clean, basic hotel without breakfast close to the Zugspitze. You can book it on booking and then you have self checkin - which was very easy. They had some parking spots closeby. The price is pretty fair but there were no plugs anywhere close to your bed and the walls were very thin so you can hear some noises from the neighbors.”
